The Hawaii-Alaska Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) will present its inaugural Health IT Proclamation Day & Heroes Recognition Virtual Conference on December 10, 8am-2pm HST. The event is a collaborative effort focusing on emerging technologies and solutions being implemented in the fight against COVID-19. Topics include: telehealth; health information exchange; and data privacy regulation cybersecurity. See the event schedule here. The keynote address will be given by State of Hawaii Lt. At the conference, the Chapter will introduce its new IT workforce development and leadership initiatives and community partners, including TechForce Hawaii, represented by ES&A Director Sam Sneed. ES&A is the founding organizer of TechForce Hawaii (TFH), a collaborative effort of business, government and nonprofits whose mission is to harness technology and develop strategies to build Hawaii’s capacity to learn, work and live.
