USDOL Announces First-Time Cybersecurity Guidance for Benefit Plan Sponsors, Fiduciaries, Record Keepers and Participants
The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) for the first time released cybersecurity guidance for benefit plan sponsors and fiduciaries regulated by ERISA and plan participants and beneficiaries. The guidance includes:
- Tips for Hiring a Service Provider for plan sponsors and fiduciaries
- Cybersecurity Program Best Practices for plan fiduciaries and record-keepers
- Online Security Tips for plan participants and beneficiaries
