Effective May 4, 2022, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) temporarily increased the automatic extension period for employment authorization and Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), available to certain EAD renewal applicants, to up to 540 days. This temporary extension only applies to those EAD categories currently eligible and to pending EAD renewal applications. For more information, see the USCIS press release.
