OSHA Injury Tracking Application (ITA) Reporting in Effect January 1, 2024

As previously noted here, the US Department of Labor (USDOL) in July 2023 announced a final rule requiring certain employers in designated high-hazard industries to electronically submit injury and illness information (which they were already required to keep) to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on an annual basis. Employers can use the ITA Coverage Application to determine if they are required to submit their injury and illness information to OSHA.

For more information, see the OSHA Injury Tracking Application site. Employers who meet the ITA requirements should contact the Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Department (HIOSH) directly.
