New Resources Available to Help Employers Understand VEVRAA Protections

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has released the following resources to help federal contractors and subcontractors comply with VEVRAA (Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974), which requires employers to take action to provide equal employment opportunity in recruitment, hiring, promoting and retaining protected veterans. The resources, which can be found through the agency’s new VEVRAA landing page, include:

• Promising Practices, which explains a contractor’s obligations in different phases of the recruitment and hiring process
• FAQs
• VEVRAA Contractor Resources including hiring benchmarks, contract thresholds that trigger VEVRAA AAP and other requirements, and much more
