Federal Judge Stays NLRB Joint Employer Rule Until March 11

On February 22, 2024, a U.S District Court judge stayed the effective date of the NLRB’s recent rule on determining the standard for joint-employer status until March 11, 2024. The postponement came about as part of a lawsuit challenging the rule, which had been scheduled to take effect February 26, 2024. The new standard will only be applied to cases filed after the rule takes effect.
