Due to ongoing COVID-19 precautions, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has once again extended compliance flexibility for Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) through December 31, 2020. This interim policy allows employers with entirely remote workforces as a result of the pandemic who are hiring new employees remotely to conduct virtual inspections of required documents, then obtain copies of the documents within 3 business days.
