Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) protections for nursing mothers who need to pump milk at work were expanded in 2022 by the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act, which extended these rights to more industries, including agriculture, retail, restaurants, healthcare and transportation. The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) will present free “Power to Pump” webinars with resources and information for workers, employers and advocates in each of these industries, as follows:
