USDOL Virtual Seminars on Prevailing Wage, June 25-26 and Sept. 24-25
The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) will offer virtual seminars on prevailing wage, June 25-26, 2025, 5-11:30am HST, and September 24-25, 2025, 5-11:30am HST. These 2-day compliance trainings are designed for regional stakeholders (e.g., unions, private contractors, state agencies, federal agencies, workers). Day 1 will focus on the Davis-Bacon Act; Day 2 will focus on the Service Contract Act. Discussions will cover:
- Executive Order 13495, “Nondisplacement of Qualified Workers”
- Executive Order 13658, “Establishing a Minimum Wage for Contractors,” which set the minimum wage at $13.30 per hour as of January 1, 2025. The Trump administration revoked Executive Order 14026, which set the minimum wage at $15.00 per hour for contracts entered into as of January 30, 2022 (and would have made it $17.75 effective January 1, 2025).
- The process of obtaining wage determinations and adding classifications
- Compliance assistance and enforcement processes
- The process for appealing wage rates, coverage, and compliance determinations
The seminars are free but registration is required and capacity is limited. Register online for the June seminar or the September seminar.
