The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Fact Sheet has been released by the U.S. Department of Labor upon publication of its final rule on handling retaliation complaints under the Taxpayer First Act. The Act protects employees who report or assist in an investigation regarding underpayment of taxes or potential violations of it assist in an investigation regarding underpayment of taxes or potential violations of federal law relating to tax fraud. The final rule adopts OSHA’s interim final rule (published March 7, 2022) without substantive change, and went into effect March 13, 2023. For more information, read the Fact Sheet.
