Revised Form I-9 Available

The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) has released a revised Form I-9, which U.S. employers must use to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all individuals hired for employment in the U.S. The revision is dated October 21, 2019, but the old form may be used until May 1.
Changes to the form include updated instructions regarding:

  • Who can act as an Authorized representative on behalf of an employer
  • Updated USCIS website addresses
  • Clarifications on acceptable documents
  • Process for requesting paper Form I-9
  • Updated DHS privacy notices
