EEOC Component 2 Data Collection to Continue Through January 2020

A federal court judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has ruled that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) must continue collecting employers’ EEO-1 Component 2 pay data for 2017 and 2018 through January 31, 2020. Although the initial deadline was September 30, the agency has not yet met the court-mandated data collection benchmark (to equal or exceed the mean percentage of EEO-1 reports submitted in each of the part four years). The online portal for submissions remains open.

For a brief history of the Component 2 data collection, see our earlier post.

The case is National Women’s Law Caucus et al v. Office of Management and Budget, et al, case 1:17-cv-02458.
