DLIR Launches Unemployment Insurance Website for Employers

The State of Hawai`i Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR) recently launched a new unemployment insurance (UI) website. The site, which will be mandatory for employers beginning January 1, 2020, allows employers to:

  • File quarterly tax reports
  • Upload quarterly employee wage reports\
  • Manage contact information
  • View benefit charges
  • View past and present account reports
  • Make payments by pre-authorized ACH debit
  • Check tax rates for unemployment insurance
  • File forms electronically
  • File appeals, receive hearing information and view case status of the appeals
  • Receive electronic notifications.

Business owners (i.e., corporate officers, partners, members or sole proprietors) with an existing UI account number must create an online profile at http://uiclaims.hawaii.gov

Employers using a payroll or third-party service provider to file reports and make payments must notify their providers to request access to the employer’s online account
